End of Chapter 30

Just finished writing Chapter 30 of my book, The Calling: Discovery. Primed to keep it going and hope to finish by end of this year. Here is the final paragraph in Chapter 30.

“I second your motion”, Marcus answered, “that is, if no one objects.”
There were no objections to be made, and the only sound in the room was that of The Calling standing anxiously at the ready. Knowing full well another unchartered chapter in their adventure was about to open up, they became like moths to a light and instinctively circled the table with the final tube.

Guess who's writing a novel?

Hello, and thank you for visiting my on-line blog for the novel I am writing.

The Calling: Discovery, is my first novel and I'm really excited about how things are going. What started as an image led to a page, then to a prologue and finally the chapter writing began. It's been a few years already, but I feel like the finish line is nearing. Time to kick it in and finish this first book! Jeanette, my wife, has challenged me with a deadline for the story and I'm looking forward to meeting it. That means I'll have the book written before December of this year!

In the meantime I'll be working on ePublishing formats, cover designs and images, character bios, story background info and more, I'm sure. My goal is to have this blog be a resource for the first story and a launching pad for the sequels. I've already planned for three more books in this series. We'll see!

For now, I've added a page with the prologue for you to read. Not sure if I'll put other chapters up, but who knows, the marketing end of the book is wide open. I welcome your ideas and comments, especially from those of you using Kindle and other ebook readers.

From the start, my main goal is to finish the book. But, like marathon running, after you finish one  you want to do another one. Only better, faster and maybe in a different city or state. The novel will be the same, I'll finish this one and hopefully be charged up and ready for the next one.

Thanks again for stopping by,

Brian
